City launches free sled rentals at local parks

[Duluth, MN] City of Duluth residents and visitors have a new reason to enjoy three local parks- free sled use! The City of Duluth Parks and Recreation division staff installed three sled sheds at Leif Erickson, Lincoln Park, and Portland Square in hopes that those enjoying the park will use the sleds while they are onsite. Sleds are to be returned to the shed when sledders are done using them. Have a sled you’re looking to donate? Drop it in the shed! The Sled Shed is another pop-up play program in an effort to continue to engage with the public during COVID-19. The Sled Sheds are expected to remain at the three locations until the end of the winter season. Have a location you think would be perfect for a Sled Shed? email us at parks@duluthmn.gov.
