BY: Kate Van Daele, Public Information Officer
Trail capping, grading, and hauling work to begin on the DWP Trail
[Duluth, MN] The DWP Trail from the Sargent Creek bridge heading towards Ely’s Peak will begin trail capping, grading, and hauling work beginning today (December 8) until the ground freezes. Heavy equipment will be hauling gravel from the base of Spirit Mountain to the western end of the DWP via roadways. Please plan accordingly, as heavy equipment at the trail construction site may not be passable due to the narrow grade of the trail.
Alternative DWP Trail access points east of Ely’s Peak include:
- Clyde Avenue/Clyde Connector Trail
- Spirit Mountain
- Waseca Street
- Green Street
The map for these trail access points as well as other parks and trails locations can be viewed online at: https://duluthmn.maps.arcgis.com/apps/View/index.html?appid=858a94c6007f4bafbe45afa08e47e054
