Parks and Recreation to host Public Meeting on Upcoming Improvements to Piedmont Park

[Duluth, MN] The City of Duluth’s Parks and Recreation division will hold a virtual public information meeting to share information about upcoming improvements to Piedmont Park on Thursday, June 11, from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. Those who are interested in attending can click on the following link to join the call: https://www.duluthmn.gov/live-meeting/parks-recreation-public-meetings/.

Updates to the park include stormwater improvements to site drainage, the addition of an accessible pathway through the park, and enhancements to the wetlands between the middle rink and upper ball field. Stormwater management in the park was a significant concern and was highlighted in the 2016 Council-approved Piedmont Park Mini-Master Plan. Thanks to the support from federal grant dollars, the City will proceed with these improvements.
