UPDATE: Public Informational Meeting to Discuss Keene Creek Park Improvements

[Duluth, MN] - The City of Duluth Parks and Recreation division invites the public to attend an informational meeting to discuss improvements to Keene Creek Park in 2020. The public meeting will take place from 5:00-6:30 pm on Tuesday, March 10th at Evergreen Senior Center (also known as City Center West), located at 5830 Grand Ave.

During the meeting, the timeline and other details of park improvements will be shared. Planned improvements include accessibility upgrades, a new playground, dog park improvements, trail resurfacing and realigning, and the addition of a new bicycle pump track.

The City is proceeding with these improvements at Keene Creek Park thanks to the support of federal grant funds and ½ and ½ Tourism Tax Funds, as part of the larger St. Louis River Corridor Initiative.

In 2016, the City Council approved the Keene Creek Park Mini-Master Plan, which outlines both short-term and long-term improvements to the park and acts as a guiding document for both the City and community partners.  More information about the Keene Creek Park Mini-Master Plan can be found on the City of Duluth Parks website: https://duluthmn.gov/parks/parks-planning/st-louis-river-corridor/keene-creek-park.

If you are unable to attend this meeting, please contact Jim Shoberg, Senior Parks Planner, at jshoberg@duluthmn.gov with comments or questions. The website above will also be updated with information following the meeting.
