Duluth Parks & Recreation Receives No Child Left Inside Grant

[Duluth, MN] Duluth Parks & Recreation received a No Child Left Inside grant from the Minnesota DNR and is excited to provide free snowshoeing opportunities for youth this winter. For this initiative, Parks & Recreation is able to provide groups of youth across Duluth with a snowshoeing experience at program sites or in one of Duluth’s many outdoor spaces. The goal of this program is to engage youth in an outdoor activity and encourage them to be active outside even during our winter months.

Groups of up to 20 youth at one time can participate, and this opportunity is for ages 8-18. Sessions can run from one to two hours.  Interested groups should contact swerle@duluthmn.gov for more information or call 218-730-4306. There are a limited number of programs that can be provided based on scheduling, so connecting with Parks sooner rather than later is encouraged.
