KEY ELECTION DATES AND INFORMATION FOR THE

CITY OF DULUTH AND INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT #709

NOVEMBER GENERAL ELECTION

 

[Duluth, MN] – The City of Duluth and Independent School District #709 General Election will take place on Tuesday, November 5, 2019.  The Duluth City Clerk’s Office would like to highlight important dates leading up to the General Election and encourages all Duluth citizens to stay informed, get involved and to get out and vote! 

 

DATES TO REMEMBER!

  • General Election – November 5, 2019 – Polls Open 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Vote Early [Absentee In-Person or by Mail] Beginning – September 20, 2019
  • Last Day to Pre-Register to Vote – October 15, 2019
    Voters who miss this deadline may still register at their polling place on Election Day.

 

REGISTER TO VOTE TODAY!

Duluthians can register to vote by doing one of the following:

  • Register online by going to www.mnvotes.org
  • Fill out a Voter Registration Application available on the City Clerk’s webpage at: http://duluthmn.gov/city-clerk/election-and-voter-info/ and deliver it in person or by mail to the Duluth City Clerk (330 City Hall, 411 W. 1st St., Duluth, MN 55802) or the St. Louis County Voter Registration Office (214 St. Louis County Courthouse, 100 N. 5th Ave. W., Duluth, MN 55802).
  • Register at the polls on Election Day or when applying for or renewing your driver’s license.  Find your polling place by visiting https://pollfinder.sos.state.mn.us/.

 

Duluthians who are already registered to vote should confirm their voter registration information is up to date, and encourage their friends, family, and co-workers to do the same.

 

VOTE EARLY ABSENTEE! 

Beginning September 20th, Duluthians can vote early in person at the Duluth City Clerk’s Office (330 City Hall, 411 W. 1st St., Duluth, MN 55802), or by mail.  Absentee applications are available in the City Clerk’s Office or online through the Secretary of State’s Office: www.mnvotes.org.

Beginning October 29th, Duluthians can vote early in person at either the Duluth City Clerk’s Office or at the newly added early voting center at City Center West (5830 Grand Ave., Duluth, MN 55807) from October 29th to November 4th.

The City Clerk’s Office will be open the following days and times for early absentee voting:

  • Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, November 2, 2019 – 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Monday, November 4, 2019 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Monday, November 4, 2019 is the last day to vote absentee. 

City Center West will be open the following days and times for early absentee voting:

  • Tuesday, October 29, 2019 – Friday, November 1, 2019, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, November 2, 2019 – 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Monday, November 4, 2019 – 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Monday, November 4, 2019 – is the last day to vote absentee.
