Parks to Host Open House on Mini-Master Plan for Campus Connector Trail

[Duluth, MN] The City of Duluth Parks & Recreation division will host a public open house on August 14 to review and comment on the draft Mini-Master Plan for the Campus Connector Trail. This open house will take place from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. in the first-floor atrium of Duluth City Hall (411 West 1st Street).

The purpose of this meeting is to discuss planning efforts to date, review proposed trail alignments, and discuss future development. Following the open house, Parks & Recreation staff will present the draft Mini-Master Plan to the Parks and Recreation Commission in the Council Chambers at 5:00 p.m. For more information about the project, please visit https://duluthmn.gov/parks/parks-planning/progress-in-the-park/campus-connector-trail/ .

The Campus Connector Trail is a paved, multi-use commuter recreational trail that will run from the Lakewalk to Rice Lake Road. The trail will provide vertical connectivity for residents, nodes of business, and education institutes along its path. This trail will be the first paved, vertical commuter corridor in Duluth.

If you are unable to attend this meeting, the draft plan will be posted on the City website on August 15, 2019, for a two week review period. You may email comments or questions to Jim Shoberg, Senior Parks Planner, at jshoberg@duluthmn.gov .
