City to celebrate Arbor Day, Monday May 17th

A special Arbor Day celebration will take place on Monday, May 17th beginning at 1:30 PM in Chester Bowl.  Mayor Don Ness, citizens and students will recognize the value and importance of trees in our community as they take part in a ceremonial planting of a tree in Chester Bowl.  Students will also have the opportunity to learn about the Emerald Ash Borer alert and will be given a seedling to take home and plant in their own yard.

Participants will meet at the Chester Bowl playground area prior to the planting of the tree.
