Annual Water Safety Expo and Sand Modeling Contest at Park Point Beach

to take place July 19

 

[Duluth, MN] - The Annual Park Point Sand Modeling Contest/Summer Beach Bash and Water Safety Expo is scheduled for Thursday, July 19, 2017 at the Park Point Beach House from 10:00 AM-3:00 PM. The event will feature a sand modeling contest, games, live DJ music, and several demonstrations on safety topics such as throw rings, life jackets, weather safety and rip currents. This event is free and open to the public.

 

Location: 5000 Minnesota Ave at the Park Point Beach House

Free, bring your own beach blankets and sand building supplies

July 19th 10AM-3PM

 

The sand modeling will begin at 10:00AM and judging will begin at 1:00PM. Winners will receive prizes.

 

This free public event is organized by the City of Duluth Parks and Recreation, The Duluth Area Family YMCA, and Minnesota Sea Grant.
