West Skyline Parkway Retaining Wall Restoration to Start April 23
[Duluth, MN] - The City of Duluth will be restoring two retaining walls along West Skyline Parkway during the upcoming construction season. In order to complete the necessary work, West Skyline Parkway will be closed and detours will be installed around the project sites. The two locations are the Section 3 Turnout area (near Hank Jensen Drive) and the Oneota Overlook located between 24th Ave West and 40th Ave W.
The first project will close West Skyline Parkway between West 5th Street and Hank Jensen Drive starting Monday April 23 for the turnout work. The detour route will be Hank Jensen Drive to access Enger Park and east or west bound Skyline Parkway. The tentative completion date is August 24, 2018.
The second project, Oneota Overlook, will start later this summer and a separate public notice for that road closure/detour will be released prior to the start of that work.
Questions can be directed to the Project Contact: Taryn Erickson, City Engineering at tjerickson@duluthmn.gov
