City of Duluth Seeks Musicians for 2018 Chester Creek Concert Series!

 

[Duluth, MN] – Be part of an amazing free music series at Chester Bowl Park! The City of Duluth Parks and Recreation is seeking musicians for the 36th annual 2018 Chester Creek Concert series. The application process is open to all those who wish to apply. The deadline for submittals is Friday, February 19, 2018. Applications are available through the Parks and Recreation office at City Hall, the Chester Chalet, 1801 E. Skyline Pkwy and on our website at: http://www.duluthmn.gov/parks/chester-creek-concert-series

The Selection Committee will review and discuss the audio and video samples provided by applicants and determine the top candidates, who will be offered a position on our summer schedule. To be good stewards of your time and resources, we will not be conducting live auditions. The Selection Committee plans to finalize their choices by March 23 and contact those selected to confirm dates in the line-up by April 13.


General Information about the Chester Creek Concert Series:

Concerts held Tuesdays, 7:00-8:30 pm

  • Performers will need to arrive at least 1 hour in advance to set up

The concert series is 10 weeks from June 12 through August 21

  • Aug 7th and 14th begin at 6:30 pm
  • Aug 21 begins at 6:00pm due to earlier sunset times

Rain Date: Aug 21 – start time 6:00pm.

Stipend of $250 - sound equipment provided by a local vendor

Payment is processed after the concert, upon receipt of an invoice and W9 form.

Concert attendance ranges from 300-800 with an average of 500.

This is the 36th year of the concert series.

Concerts are outdoors in a family-friendly setting; the performers are on an elevated stage.
