INCIDENT LOCATION: 3105 Restormel St
At 00:43 this morning the Duluth Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 3105 Restormel St. Upon arrival, crews found heavy fire on back side of duplex. The fire was quickly extinguished, but caused around $50,000 of damage to apartment building. The 4 renters were displaced and are being assisted by the American Red Cross. Fire crews rescued a litter of cats, but were unable to save a resident"s dog.
Fire companies from Headquarters, Lincoln Park, and Spirit Valley fire Stations responded along with Duluth Police Squads and were on scene for several hours.
Fire Marshall's office is investigating the fire. There is no further information available at this time.
