Duluth Beach Clean Up for November 19 Canceled

 

[Duluth, MN] - The City of Duluth Parks and Recreation division tentatively scheduled a beach clean up at four locations for November 19 from 10-11:30 AM. That event is canceled due to predicted weather conditions. The first clean up event had been scheduled for November 12 but was canceled due to snowfall. Despite the cancellation and conditions, over 50 resilient volunteers showed up, worked hard and collected 186 pounds of trash. The City is grateful to the dedicated volunteers who contributed their time and energy to collect trash that had been washed up to shore.

 

The City appreciates the outpouring of generosity following the storm and will seek future volunteer opportunities for the community to help with the October 27 storm clean up and restoration of our park spaces.
