Lakewalk Trail Boardwalk by Fitgers Complex Temporarily Closed to the Public

 

 

[Duluth, MN] - The City of Duluth is informing the public that the boardwalk segment of the Lakewalk Trail by the Fitger's Complex will be temporarily closed to public use until repairs can be made. The asphalt path will remain open. This area experienced significant erosion as a result of the winter storm on October 27 and the City. Barricades are in place and the public is asked to avoid this closed area for safety reasons. As a reminder, the boardwalk segment behind the hotels in Canal Park remain closed but the asphalt path is open.

 

These repairs are part of the City's application and request for emergency assistance submitted by St. Louis County to the State of Minnesota for review.
