New Lighting Along Lakewalk Trail to Improve Efficiency and Visibility
[Duluth, MN] - The City of Duluth crews will begin replacing Lakewalk Trail lighting on Monday August 21 with energy efficient LED bulbs that will increase visibility for trail users. This project may take two weeks and is dependent on fair weather conditions. Work will be done after 4 pm and until ambient light levels no longer permit. Work will be occurring from the area near the washroom facilities east to Leif Erikson park. This will include the stairway from the Lakewalk to the Portland Malt Shoppe. To accomplish this work, a lift truck is needed on site which will result in narrowed access on the Lakewalk Trail.
