Section of Lakewalk Trail in Lakeside To Temporarily Close for Utility Repairs

 

[Duluth, MN] - The City of Duluth is notifying the public that a culvert repair project will temporarily close a section of the Lakewalk Trail between 54th Ave East to 58th Ave East in the Lakeside neighborhood. The St. Louis & Lake Counties Regional Railroad Authority is managing the project and will be using heavy equipment for excavation and repairs within the project area. The Regional Rail Authority anticipates the project will take about two weeks before the trail is reopened. The Regional Rail Authority and the City asks that the public stay away from the fenced project zone for safety reasons.   


Lakewalk Trail users approaching this area will need to detour onto the sidewalk on the upper side of Superior Street.
