Public Invited to Discuss Improvements to Harrison Park
(a St. Louis River Corridor Initiative project)
[Duluth, MN] – The City of Duluth Parks and Recreation division invites the public to attend an informational meeting to discuss 2017 improvements to Harrison Park. Residents who attend will be able to provide feedback on the final design elements.
The meeting will be held May 16, 2017 at the Harrison Community Center, 3002 West 3rd Street at 5 pm.
Proposed improvements to the park include circulation sidewalks to better connect the adjacent neighborhood to the park, tennis court removal, tree planting and other amenity options. In 2016, the City Council approved the Harrison Park Mini-Master Plan which outlines both short-term and long-term improvements to the park and acts as a guiding document for both the City and community partners. More information about the Harrison Park Mini-Master Plan can be found on the City of Duluth Parks website: www.duluthmn.gov/st-louis-river-corridor/neighborhood-parks/
Anyone unable to attend this meeting, can email comments or questions to Lisa Luokkala, Project Coordinator, at lluokkala@duluthmn.gov or call at (218)730-4312.
Harrison Park is part of the larger St. Louis River Corridor Initiative: Connecting People to the River and is funded in part by the ½ and ½ Tourism Tax Fund.
