This evening the Duluth Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire at 58 Burger Drive. #10 Engine from the Gary fire station reported heavy smoke and visible flames seen from the trailer home. The homeowner was able to escape the home with his dog and call 911. As additional crews arrived on scene they were able to quickly bring the fire under control, crews searched for hidden fire and opened up areas to completely extinguish the fire.

There was heavy fire and smoke damage throughout the trailer, 19 Firefighters brought this fire under control and remained on the scene for over 2 hours. There were no civilian or Firefighter injuries and initial damage estimates are $35,000 dollars to the home and contents. The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time and any information will be released by the Duluth Fire Marshal's office.
