Last week two juveniles confessed to the vandalism and fire at the Bayview Elementary School playground, in the early hours on April 15, 2017. Both juveniles agreed to attend the Duluth Fire Department FIRST ( fire intervention referral safety team) class. The classes provide educational intervention to reduce the rate of recidivism in youth-firesetters. Reports for the incident have been sent to the Juvenile County Attorney Office.
