Lakewalk Trail Detour Planned for April 11-12 for Utility Project

 

[Duluth, MN] – The City of Duluth is once again detouring Lakewalk Trail users due to necessary utility work along a segment of the Lakewalk Trail in Canal Park, between the restroom facilities (near the former Endion Station building) and the Fitger’s Complex.

 

The Lakewalk Trail will be closed to the public starting Tuesday, April 11 and 12th between the hours of 8 AM and 4 PM in order for crews to work on the underground drainage system. Lakewalk users will be detoured up into Lake Place Park then reconnect back to the Trail. Progress on the project is dependent on weather and wind conditions. Crews will be working during the day and reopening the Lakewalk for the evening hours and weekend access.
