Duluth Parks Launches New Online Reservation Tool

[Duluth, MN] – Reserving park facilities and spaces will be much easier for the general public with a new tool being launched by the Duluth Parks and Recreation division. The new online reservation and sports league registration tool is easy to maneuver, lessens potential scheduling conflicts and allows users to submit payments online for the first time.  

“Finding ways to better serve the needs of our park guests will help enhance the overall Duluth Park experience. This system is designed with the users in mind and will improve our ability to manage multiple requests and events. The online reservation system will never replace our high quality customer service but will provide people with up to date information and a faster process so they can focus on enjoying our beautiful spaces,” said Lindsay Dean, the City’s Parks Manager.

Additional benefits of online registration for events or sports groups is text and email notifications in the case of emergency weather or cancellations; a mobile friendly design allows reservations to be done from a tablet or smart phone; and small scale private events or wedding permits can be issued instantly once payment is completed.  

The new system will be demonstrated at the March 8^th Duluth Parks and Recreation Commission meeting at 5 PM in the Duluth City Hall, Council Chambers on the 3^rd floor. The meeting is open to the public.
