Duluth Parks and Recreation Clean and Green 2017
Volunteers needed for annual clean-up efforts
[Duluth, MN] - Duluth Parks and Recreation is seeking community members willing to assist with the 2017 clean-up in city parks and public spaces. Everyone is encouraged to register, whether as an individual or part of a larger group or organization. The City will provide all necessary supplies to registered Clean and Green projects, including garbage bags, gloves and pick-up of collected trash. It takes many hands in many sizes to help get our city in beautiful shape for the upcoming year.
This year, the City of Duluth is seeking volunteers to help with the following projects:
- On-going clean-ups where a volunteer (or group of volunteers) commit to picking up trash in one location for the duration of the Clean and Green season
- One-time, individual or group clean-ups where volunteers choose or are assigned a specific location where they or their group pick up trash
Groups willing to clean in early Spring are encouraged to schedule their clean-up according to anticipated snowmelt, with flexibility for changing conditions.
Groups can register for one-time or on-going clean-ups in a specific park or location throughout the city. Clean-up locations can be assigned depending on the group’s size, age, time availability, and location preferences.
Register your project online at http://duluthmn.gov/parks/volunteer/clean-and-green-request-form/.
