Draft Cross City Trail Mini-Master Plan Available for Public Comment

(a St. Louis River Corridor Initiative)

[Duluth, MN] - The City of Duluth Parks and Recreation division is inviting the public to comment on the final draft of the Cross City Trail Mini-Master Plan.

The Duluth Cross City Trail Mini-Master Plan outlines the vision for a 10.3-mile multi-purpose, non-motorized, wheelchair accessible, paved trail system that, according to the Mini Master Plan, will end at the Pulaski Street trailhead shared with the Munger State Trail.

The plan is the culmination of 12+ years of intensive planning and development work at the federal, state, local, and grassroots levels. Connecting the North Shore corridor and the Lakewalk to the Munger Trail is a statewide recreational priority and the plan outlined here is the optimum way to establish that connection.

The draft plan will be open for comment until February 24, 2017. Comments will help inform the Duluth Parks staff and the Parks and Recreation Commission on revisions to the Master Plan. The revised plan will be presented to the Commission on March 8, 2017.

The draft plan and online comment form are available at
