Duluth Parks Outdoor and Indoor Skating Rinks Open to the Public
[Duluth, MN] - Duluth Parks and Recreation will re-open Bayfront Family Center and ice rink tomorrow, Friday January 27, from 1-8 pm for those looking for some outdoor winter fun and kids who have the day off from school. A bonfire marshmallow roasting and free hot chocolate will be offered. Bayfront will continue to be open for our regular hours on Saturday from 1-8 pm and Sunday 1-5 pm. Regular weekday hours are Monday through Fridays from 4-8 pm, weather permitting. Bayfront will be closed if wind chills reach -20 degrees or if warm weather creates standing puddles of water on the ice rink.
The outdoor ice rinks at Norton Park, Merritt Park and Lafayette Square are also open to the public but are not staffed.
We will also offer indoor skating at the Essentia Duluth Heritage Sports Center this Friday from 1:30-3:30 pm. Participants are encouraged to bring their own skates as there are limited skates available. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
