Duluth Parks Seeking Input on Proposed Dog Park Name
[Duluth, MN] - Duluth's newest and largest 3 acre dog park opened up in late August but one thing is missing. An official name! The Duluth Parks Commission and Duluth Parks and Recreation are seeking input on a proposed name for the new facility located in east Duluth. The other two dog parks, Keene Creek and Observation, are both named in reference to the location of the park. This new park is located near the Jean Duluth soccer fields and Riley Road. A proposal went forth to name the new dog park, Jean Duluth Dog Park, at the Parks Commission meeting on September 14. Rather than take a vote, the Parks Commission decided to seek broader public input.
The community is asked to provide input on the proposed dog park name and to do so using this online survey:

The survey will close October 9, 2016 with results to be reviewed at the October 12 Parks Commission meeting. The new dog park was created in partnership with the City of Duluth and Duluth Dog Parks, a volunteer organization.
