Duluth Parks Wayfinding and Trailhead Orientation Plan Seeking Additional Public Input
[Duluth, MN] - The City of Duluth Parks division is close to completing a comprehensive city-wide Gate, Wayfinding and Trailhead/Orientation Plan. This has included a field inventory and analysis of Duluth's trails and bikeway system, design and planning for implementation and recommendations for educational and informational signage both at trail access points and the proposed St. Louis River National Water Trail. The completed plan will present clear and consistent signage throughout the parks and trails system.
The City has partnered with stakeholders and land managers to identify key components of the plan and invites the public to participate at an upcoming open house and again when the plan is presented at the September Duluth Parks Commission meeting. The Public Open House will take place on Tuesday, August 30th from 5:30-7:00pm at the Morgan Park Community Center, 1242 88th Ave West. The Parks Commission meeting will be held September 14 at 5 pm in the City Council Chambers on the third floor of City Hall, 411 West First Street.
