Duluth Seeking Input on Western Trails Master Plan

[Duluth, MN] - The City of Duluth Parks and Recreation is developing a new St. Louis River Corridor Trails Plan. This plan will guide future decisions about appropriate use of specific trails and trail systems. It identifies gaps in trail resources and proposes new trails or upgraded uses that will fill those gaps. Planning began in April 2016 with a meeting with trail users of all types. Ten different user groups, ranging from Nordic skiers to people with disabilities, reviewed a draft of the plan in July.  The public is encouraged to review the draft plan and submit comments. Comments will be accepted through Friday, August 19. A final version will be presented to the Parks Commission and to the City Council in September.

The public review draft is available at:

http://www.duluthmn.gov/st-louis-river-corridor/st-louis-river-corridor-trails-plan/

Hard copies of the plan are available by request. Comments should be directed to Judy Gibbs, jgibbs@duluthmn.gov
