Trail Construction Along College Street Starts May 2

 

[Duluth, MN] - The construction of the Campus Connector Trail commences May 2, 2016 along the north curb of College Street, between Junction Ave and Kenwood Ave by the College of St. Scholastica.The anticipated completion is July 31st. The Campus Connector is a new 10 foot multi-purpose non-motorized trail that once completed, will connect from Lowell Elementary school and other campuses down to the Lakewalk Trail.


During construction, two way traffic along College Street will be maintained except for some temporary closures to transport equipment on site. Flaggers will assist with directing traffic at certain times. No on street parking will be allowed for the duration of the project. Access to side street will be accommodated. The north sidewalk will be inaccessible but the south sidewalk will be open. Access to homes and businesses will also be maintained.


The public can expect to see workers on site between the hours of 6 AM to 8 PM daily. Workers will attempt to control noise levels to a minimum. Motorists may experience some delays due to slow moving traffic. Please check the www.duluthtransit.com for up to date bus schedules.
