Hartley Park Mini-Master Plan implementation to start in spring
Two public open houses planned
[Duluth, MN] - From 2013 to 2014, the City of Duluth Parks and Recreation division, worked closely with many community groups and the general public to develop a master plan for Hartley Park. In July 2014, City Council approved the Hartley Park Master Plan, which can be viewed at http://www.duluthmn.gov/media/239907/Hartley-Master-Plan-07-21-2014.pdf
Subsequently, the City of Duluth applied for and received a State of Minnesota Parks Legacy Grant to implement some of the Plan’s recommendations, including parking lot and trail improvements, invasive species removal, habitat restoration and selective thinning of pine plantations. In the spring, summer and fall of 2016, work on the above improvements will commence. The probable completion date of all projects is late fall 2016.
