31st Annual Chester Bowl Fall Fest is September 19
[Duluth, MN] – Kids are back in school and there are some hints of fall colors peeking through the green. That means it’s time for the annual Chester Bowl Fall Fest! This year’s 31st anniversary event is scheduled for September 19, 2015 at Chester Bowl from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The public is invited to celebrate this significant milestone and enjoy music, food, crafts, locally grown fresh produce, vendors, and informational booths about local programs. The annual event has grown over the years and will host over 120 vendors, a great line up of music, 8 food vendors, and family activities.
Suggested donations of $2 will be accepted at the entrance to support Chester winter program scholarships for kids in need who want to participate in winter sports. Donations last year totaled about $7000 and the goal is to surpass this amount.
The music schedule includes:
10:00 to 11:30 am Maddy Siiter, folk singer-songwriter
12:00 - 1:30 pm Actual Wolf (solo set), country/Americana/rock
2:00 – 3:30 pm Greg Tiburzi, folk rock
Free Shuttle Service:
The public is highly encouraged to use the three free shuttle buses that will run continuously from the University of Minnesota Duluth parking lot B, located at the intersection of College St. and University Drive. Parking is very limited near the event, so walking, biking, or using the shuttles is highly recommended. There are handicapped accessible parking spots near the entrance to the park.
The planned rain date is Sunday, September 20, 2015, same hours.
Additional information can be found at http://www.chesterbowl.org/fall-fest/.
This annual event is sponsored by the City of Duluth Parks and Recreation division, the Chester Bowl Improvement Club, and Midwest Communications. Donations and t-shirt sales proceeds benefit the Chester Bowl Improvement Club and its programming.
