Volunteers Needed for 13th Annual “Dig in for the Downtown Waterfront” - TOMORROW from 10-Noon at Bayfront Park

[Duluth, MN] - The Greater Downtown Council and Duluth Parks and Recreation are seeking volunteers to help plant flowers for the Downtown Waterfront TOMORROW, Wednesday, June 3rd, 2015, from 10-Noon.

Engwall’s will deliver colorful crates of annual flowers to Bayfront Park on Wednesday morning. Approximately 150 streetscape planters are stored at Bayfront’s parking lot, just waiting for helping hands to fill them with flowers. City crews will then move the planters to adorn the sidewalks of the Downtown Waterfront this summer. The Greater Downtown Council’s Clean & Safe Team will maintain them throughout the summer season.

This annual event typically draws about 60 volunteers who are willing to lend a hand to help beautify the Downtown Waterfront.

Following the work project, volunteers will be treated to a free lunch thanks to our friends at the Inn on Lake Superior.

Please join us for this worthwhile beautification project!
