Bus Bike Walk Volunteer Tree Planting Along the Cross City Trail – Saturday, May 30
[Duluth, MN] - Join the City of Duluth in celebrating Bus Bike Walk month by planting trees along a new segment of the Cross City Trail on May 30, from 10:00 AM -12:00 PM. The canopy provided by mature trees creates shade and comfort for people walking and bicycling, and supports more sustainable and active transportation in the community. This opportunity is open to all ages (parents must accompany minors under the age of 18). Participants should wear sturdy shoes and bring work gloves if you have them. All equipment will be provided. Meet at the Cross City Trail near the intersection of W Superior Street and W Michigan Street (by the M&H gas station). Please contact Cheryl Skafte, City of Duluth Volunteer Coordinator, at 730-4334 to register (advanced registration preferred, but not required).
The City of Duluth Tree Planting event is part of Bus Bike Walk Duluth – a one-of-a-kind month long celebration that brings together bicyclists, businesses, art hounds, outdoor enthusiasts, active commuters, and families that share a mutual love for busing, biking, and walking.
