[Duluth, MN] - It’s that time of year again, Duluthians! Spring is practically here and Duluth Parks and Recreation is seeking community volunteers to join in clean-up and beautification efforts in City parks.

 

Individuals, families, schools, universities, faith, and community groups, are invited to register for a 2015 Clean and Green project. All registered groups will be provided with garbage bags, gloves, and access to a wide array of clean-up tools, materials, and equipment.

 

“When it’s green, we clean! That’s our Clean and Green motto,” says Cheryl Skafte, Volunteer Coordinator, City of Duluth. “We welcome and encourage clean-up and beautification projects from the melting of the snow in late-Spring to the first snowfall in late-Fall!

 

Any group eager and willing to aid in early spring projects are encouraged to schedule clean-ups in conjunction with the snowmelt, with flexibility for potentially erratic weather conditions. Participants are encouraged to register for multiple clean-ups of specific parks or locations convenient to their organization throughout spring, summer, and fall seasons.

 

Register your Clean and Green project at www.duluthmn.gov/parks/volunteer.  All interested organizations and individuals are asked to complete a Clean and Green Request Form.
