 Just after midnight on Tuesday Feb 24th, 2015, the Duluth Fire Department responded to a fire involving a duplex at 4609 Cambridge St in the Lakeside neighborhood.

The first arriving engine company found heavy fire on the rear exterior of the house. The fire had extended up to the 2nd floor. Handlines were deployed to the rear of the duplex and the fire was knocked down. Both units of the duplex were occupied at the time of the fire and all occupants had exited the house prior to our arrival. Occupants were not allowed to remain in the house. There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters.

21 firefighters responded from HQ, Lakeside, Woodland, and U.M.D. Fire Stations.

The Duluth Fire Marshal's Office is currently investigating this fire. Damage is estimated to be in excess of $45,000.00. No further information is available at this time.
