Public Invited to View Concepts for Chester Ski Jump Commemorative Art

[Duluth, MN] - The City of Duluth Parks and Recreation division and volunteers working on the Chester Ski Jump memorial invite the public to view and comment on two design concepts this Sunday, February 8. The two concepts memorializing ski jumping at Chester Bowl were presented by the artists to the  volunteer committee earlier this week. The committee is interested in receiving comments and feedback to help guide its final decision-making.

The City issued a Request for Qualifications for artists back in October and held several public meetings and gathered community insight and ideas to help the artists develop their designs.

The designs will be on display Sunday, February 8, 2015 at the Chester chalet, 1800 East Skyline Parkway, from Noon to 3:00 PM. The public is encouraged to attend and provide feedback.
