City Seeking Chester Creek Concert Performers
[Duluth, MN] - Duluth Parks and Recreation is currently seeking applications from musical performers for the upcoming 2015 Chester Creek Concert Series. This popular, annual music-in-the-park event occurs Tuesday evenings from early-June to early-August and has been a staple of Chester Park summer programming for over 30 years.
"Chester Creek Concerts are popular family-friendly events held in one of Duluth’s most beloved parks. This year we will be instituting a new process to determine our list of entertainers," explains Kathy Bergen, the City’s Manager of Parks and Recreation. "We hope this application process is easy, welcoming, and is an opportunity open for all who wish to apply."
The deadline for submitting an application is Friday, February 13, 2015. A Selection Committee, comprised of representatives from the Parks Commission and the Chester Bowl Improvement Club, plan to finalize their selections by March 13, 2015. All applications must include links to online sound samples. Both audio and video will be accepted. There will not be formal auditions.
Musical performers, groups and bands are encouraged to access the application in one of three ways:
