City Preparing Trails for Cross Country Skiing
[Duluth, MN] - Starting today and for the next couple of weeks, the City of Duluth Parks and Recreation staff will be in Chester Bowl Park removing trees along the ski trails to improve the site-lines for walkers and skiers as designated in the recently adopted Chester Park Mini-master Plan. The final Chester Park Mini-master Plan is available for review on the Parks website, www.duluthmn.gov/media/257965/Chester-Plan-Master-Plan-Report-11-06-14-1130-FINAL.pdf
In addition, the City has been rolling and packing City trails in preparation for additional snowfall in order to begin grooming trails for skiing. The public is requested to use caution if using the ungroomed trails at this time. Trail updates are available by calling (218) 730-4321.
