Duluth Tree Planting Party Scheduled for September 22

 

[Duluth, MN] - The City of Duluth Parks and Recreation division invites the public to help plant trees on Monday, September 22, 2014 from 5-7 PM at Memorial Park (located at Central Avenue and Grand Ave in West Duluth). This event is open to people of all ages and no experience is required. Volunteers should wear sturdy shoes, dress appropriately for the weather, and bring shovels or work gloves, if they have them. Though City staff will also bring tools.  

 

Interested persons or groups are encouraged to pre-register online using a new volunteer registration form, or contact Cheryl Skafte at (218) 341-8454 or email cskafte@duluthmn.gov for more information.
