Duluth Parks Commission Accepting Grant Applications
[Duluth, MN] - The City of Duluth, through its Parks Commission and Parks and Recreation Division, is pleased to announce the availability of the Recreation Grant Program for the year 2014.
The purpose of these grants is to act as starter funds to foster and promote community recreation programs and to encourage the acquisition, construction, reconstruction, refurbishing, maintenance, and/or operation of public recreation facilities in the City of Duluth.
All non-profit organizations are eligible to apply for the grants. Grants will be issued in amounts of $2,000 or less and must be matched with money, materials, and/or labor. If your project involves improvements to an existing City facility, you must also complete the Project Proposal Request Form. The application and form are available on-line at http://www.duluthmn.gov/parks/
Please read, complete and submit the application by August 22, 2014. Applications may be emailed to kbergen@duluthmn.gov or mailed to the City of Duluth Parks Commission, 411 West First St., Duluth, MN 55802. Your application will be reviewed by a committeeand theParks Commission. If accepted, it will be presented to the City Council for approval.
