Chester Creek Concert Series Runs Through August 19
[Duluth, MN] - It's hard to believe that we are half way through the Chester Creek Concert Series in Chester Bowl Park with concerts extended through August 19. These free concerts take place every Tuesday evening at 7 PM, with the exception of the final two concerts which start at 6:30 PM. Two weather related cancellations have been rescheduled for August 12 and 19 extending the summer concert series. Bands scheduled to play are:
July 15 The Formal Age
July 22 Sound Incorporated
July 29 Busterville
August 5 Pot Bellied Stallions
*Rain Dates: August 12 - Fish Heads and August 19 - Rock-A-Billy Revue, both concerts start at 6:30 PM.
Everyone is encouraged to come to this free event and bring lawn chairs for seating, while enjoying the beautiful outdoor setting of Chester Bowl located at 1800 East Skyline Parkway.
The City of Duluth is reminding the public that access into Chester Bowl Park is limited to only the western approach due to roadway, embankment, and concrete repairs related to the June 2012 flood. Skyline Parkway is closed from Chester Park Drive to the park entrance until August 11 at which point the west entrance will be closed for bridge repairs.
Please call the Chester Creek Concert Hotline at 218-730-4326 after 6:00 pm the night of the concert or check our Facebook page “DuluthParksMN” or go to www.duluthmn.gov/parks for weather related cancellations or updates.
