Public Input Needed on Duluth Cross Country Ski Trails
[Duluth, MN] - The City of Duluth invites the public to provide input on the future of our ski trails in Duluth at an upcoming meeting on the Duluth Cross Country Ski Trail Master Plan.
The meeting will take place on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. at the Duluth Heights Recreation Center, 33 West Mulberry Street. This planning process started over a year ago. Thursday's meeting will be the final public input session for the Duluth Cross Country Ski Trail Master Plan.
This plan was commissioned by the City of Duluth and outlines recommendations for changes and improvements to the six cross-country ski trails maintained by the City of Duluth: Spirit Mountain, Snively-Magney, Piedmont Heights, Chester Park, Hartley Park and Lester-Amity.
The public will have an opportunity to review the final proposals, maps, and provide input. This meeting is open to all cross-country skiers and members of the public. A final plan will then be presented to the Parks Commission this summer before heading to the Duluth City Council for approval.
