The Duluth Fire Department responded to a report of a house fire at 1316 99th Ave W in the city's Gary neighborhood.  The call was received at 2:03 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21, 2014.  The first fire unit arrived on the scene from the Gary fire station and reported smoke coming from a house and a working fire.  Crews entered the house and extinguished fire on the first floor and 2nd floor of the house.  The fire also burned into a part of the home's roof.  3 cats were found in the basement and retrieved unharmed for the occupants.
