About Enger Tower and Enger Park:
The original dedication of Enger Tower was held on June 15, 1939 by Crown Prince Olav and Crown Princess Martha of Norway and in honor of Bert Enger, a native of Norway who lived in Duluth and became a successful furniture dealer. At the time of his death, Mr. Enger donated two-thirds of his estate, including the land of Enger Park and Enger golf course to the City of Duluth, along with a $50,000 contribution for Enger Tower to be built in his honor. This year marks his 150th birthday.
