At 0426 this morning the Duluth Fire Department was dispatched to a automatic fire alarm at the Norshor Theatre. Upon arrival crews found live smoke inside the building, and smoke venting from an upper story window. A full alarm response was requested and crews from downtown, Lincoln Park and UMD responded. The fire was contained to a single room in the upper levels above the main theatre. The cause of the fire is determined to be a failed blower motor for the buildings heating system. Fire was contained to the room, however there was moderate smoke throughout. Damage estimates are set at $15,000.
