SUBJECT: Public invited to Parks Master Plan community meetings
BY: Amy Norris, Public Information Coordinator

Public Invited to Parks Master Plan community open house sessions.

The City of Duluth is working on a city-wide parks and recreation master plan.  An invitation is being extended to the public to share thoughts and ideas regarding our parks and recreation opportunities in the city.

We are inviting the public to participate in this process - as individuals or representing volunteer groups, non-profit organizations and other agencies.  Community participation will help efforts to coordinate plans for parks, trails, recreation facilities, and programs and will help idenitify priorities and partnership opportunities.

Four community open sessions will be held to obtain input and ideas on park and recreation needs, issues, opportunities and actions.

The meetings will be held on the following dates:

Wednesday, December 2 at the Central Hillside Community Center located at 12 East 4th Street 6:30-8:30 PM

Thursday, December 3 at the Depot Great Hall located at 506 West Michigan Street 11:00 AM-2:00 PM

Thursday, December 3 at the Portman Community Cente located at 4601 McCulloch Street 6:30-8:30 PM

Tuesday, December 8 at the City Center West located at 5830 Grand Ave 6:30-8:30 PM

For more information on the Master Plan go to www.duluthmn.gov Parks and Recreation master plan.
