Final Chester Creek Concert Features the Pot Bellied StallionsTuesday, August 20th at 6:30 PM

 

The final Chester Creek Concert of the season will be held on Tuesday, August 20th 6:30-8:00 PM featuring the popular band the Pot Bellied Stallions. The Pot Bellied Stallions have been playing in the Duluth/Superior area for over 25 years. They feature Maxine Rhodes (Miss Minnesota Country 1994) on lead vocals as well as the multi-talented Steve Maida on vocals, keyboards & guitar.

Dave Patterson: Drums, Vocals is loaded with personality and is the drummer, or the necessary evil, depending on your perspective. Maxine Rhodes: Vocals, Bass, Keyboards, Percussion hails from St. Paul, Minnesota. She is a lovely and talented performer who always pleases the crowd. Max was named Miss Minnesota Country Music in 1994. Before the “Stallions” she was with the very popular Northland group, “Maxine & The Rusty Pickups”. Steve Maida: Keyboards, Guitar, Vocals is a member of the “Musical Maida Family”. A great performer, Steve can impersonate everyone from Ozzie Osborne to Joe Cocker. Steve is the heart and soul of the Stallions, giving his all during each performance. Steve has performed with The Port Four, The Mod Minstrels, Bacchus, and The Golden Apple, just to name a few. Steve Netzel: Bass and Vocals has shared the stage with Woody Herman, Steppenwolf, Question Mark, and the Mysterions, as well as jazz legend Jackie Byard and blues legend Daniel “Slick” Ballinger.

Join us for the last summer concert of the season.

Admission is free. Everyone is encouraged to bring lawn chairs for seating, while enjoying the beautiful outdoor setting of Chester Bowl located at 1800 East Skyline Parkway. Please note: Due to the earlier sun set this concert will be held from 6:30-8:00 PM.
