Chester Creek Concert Series Features Popular 70’s Band ‘Sound Incorporated’ Tuesday, July 30th at 7:00 PM
The Chester Creek Concert Series continues Tuesday, July 30th at 7:00 PM with the popular band of the 70’s Sound Incorporated. ‘Sound Incorporated’ formed in the early 1970’s, when Duluth’s music scene was bursting with local bands such as ‘QuickBreath’ and ‘Atlantis II’ These local bands were featured in the dozens of clubs in area that had bands playing every night. On Friday nights in the 70’s, community clubs, schools and churches threw dances. Many of these bands had songs on the local radio. ‘Sound Incorporated’ wrote and produced a song named “Dreams” which was number one on the local chart for 10 weeks in 1970. Every time you turned on the radio that song was playing.
‘Sound Incorporated’ features: Dave Parsons, Russ Vandell, Steve Netzel and Steve Lucia-all the original members. Mick Jackson will also be performing with the band.
Admission is free. Everyone is encouraged to bring lawn chairs for seating, while enjoying the beautiful outdoor setting of Chester Bowl located at 1800 East Skyline Parkway. All concerts will be held from 7:00-8:30 PM throughout the summer every Tuesday night until August 20th (August 13th - Fish Heads and August 20th - Pot Bellied Stallions)
