INCIDENT LOCATION: Miller Hill Super One
Earlier today the Duluth Fire Department responded to the Miller Hill Super One store for report of a man down in the store.
Upon arrival they found that staff had heard the man collapse and found him with no pulse and not breathing. Super One employee’s initiated CPR while calling 911.
When firefighters arrived, the patient was quickly evaluated and a defibrillator was used to “shock” the patient once. CPR continued as the patient was transferred to Gold Cross Ambulance. Enroute to the hospital the patient was revived and was awake and talking in the emergency room.
The Duluth Fire Department would like to credit the two store employee’s for taking quick action. Immediate CPR coupled with quick response and early defibrillation saved a man’s life today.
