Bike Route Tree Planting Party – Saturday, May 18, 9:00-11:00am
Join the City of Duluth in celebrating Active Transportation Week by planting trees in the boulevards of a designated bike route. The canopy provided by mature trees creates more shade and comfort for cyclists and other pedestrians. Let’s join together to make our community more bikeable! This opportunity is open to all ages (parents must accompany minors under the age of 18). Please bring work gloves if you have them. All equipment will be provided. Meet at Heritage Garden (E 4th St and 20th Ave E). Please contact Cheryl Skafte, City of Duluth Volunteer Coordinator, at 730-4334 to register (advanced registration preferred, but not required).
