Rose Tipping at the Rose Garden

 

The cold wind is starting to blow and the cooler temperatures are settling in. For the roses at the Rose Garden that can only mean one thing: it’s time to go to bed for the season. Join City of Duluth staff and the Lake Superior Rose Society in “tipping the roses.” Whether you are experienced at the task or just want to learn, there will be someone there to teach you, so previous knowledge is not necessary.

 

  • Saturday, October 20th from 9am-12noon

  • Tuesday, October 23rd from 3-6pm

 

This is an all ages, no experience needed event. Groups, families and individuals are invited to participate. Registration is encouraged to ensure we have enough tools and equipment for the group, but volunteers are welcome to just show up. Dress for the weather, bring gloves (if you have them) and bottle water to stay hydrated. Contact Cheryl at 218-393-9879 or cskafte@duluthmn.gov to sign up.
